Unipharma processes millions of packages annually from an 8,500 m² distribution center and continues to grow strongly.

The logistical challenge

The packaging department was unable to keep up with the speed of picking, which caused bottlenecks.

Vanas's solution

For Unipharma, Vanas analyzed the packaging zone, where the flow of packages lagged behind the picking pace. The bottleneck was not in the number of employees, but in manual handling and movement.

Vanas designed an integrated packaging solution with roller conveyors, box erectors and box sealers. Empty boxes are automatically delivered, linked to an order and offered to employees at an ergonomic height. After filling, the boxes are automatically closed to size, making filling material unnecessary.

Each box is provided with a unique barcode and correctly labeled via automatic scanning. The system reduces waiting times, increases flow and enables more efficient staff deployment.
